How We Rate Sweepstakes Casinos

The Sweeps Score
The Sweeps Score is a rating out of 5 built from six categories. Each category starts from a base score and earns points for verified facts, capped at 5. The overall score is the weighted average of the six categories, rounded to one decimal.
| Category | Weight | Base | Points for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Redemptions | 25% | 2 |
|
| Bonus & Offers | 20% | 2 |
|
| Trust & Safety | 20% | 1.5 |
|
| Slots & Games | 15% | 1.5 |
|
| Customer Service | 10% | 1.5 |
|
| Mobile | 10% | 2.5 |

Facts we couldn't confirm earn no points, so a casino that publishes less information scores lower. Casinos we haven't fully verified yet don't get a Sweeps Score at all. Their pages show third-party ratings and player reviews only.
Where the data comes from
- The operator's own terms of service, sweepstakes rules, help center and FAQ: offers, playthrough, redemption limits, eligible states and the company behind the brand.
- App Store and Google Play listings for native apps and their ratings.
- Trustpilot and App Store ratings, linked to their source pages, for the player-ratings part of Trust & Safety.
- Reputable industry coverage and official sources (legislatures, attorneys general, regulators) for state exits and legal changes.
Every verified profile shows its verification date and a list of sources at the bottom of the page.
Player ratings are separate
The user rating shown on each casino page is the plain average of approved player reviews. It isn't part of the Sweeps Score, and we never alter, reorder or hide reviews for commercial reasons. Every review is moderated under our review guidelines.
State availability
Brand maps combine each casino's own excluded-states list with state law. A state is shown as not available when the casino excludes it or when a state ban is in effect. Where we haven't verified a brand's own list yet, the map says so and falls back to state law. The statewide picture is on our legal states guide.
Corrections
Offers and rules change often. If you spot something out of date, send it through our contact page, ideally with a link to the operator's current terms. Verified corrections update the profile, its verification date and, automatically, its score.
